I would like to take this opportunity to welcome you into our Baton Rouge Community College Baseball family! Whether you have given before, or if this is the first time you have received this letter, please know that we only function as a program because of your generosity. Thank you for taking the time to learn about our 5th Annual Mail-A-Thon fundraiser! There is no doubt that 2023 was a successful year for the Bears. We had our good days and our bad, but it was great to see five players moving on to play baseball at 4-year schools! As a team, we fell short in the postseason after a tough Region XXIII Tournament, but we look forward to bouncing back! Our roster this year will feature mostly new faces, which should make for great competition amongst each other! In addition to a formidable team on the field, we rely on support from our alumni, fans, and the community to allow us to reach our potential. One of our most successful projects is the Mail-A-Thon Fundraiser. Your contribution will allow us to supplement costs, such as field and facility improvements, top-of-the-line equipment for each playe and travel accommodations for road games. Our school budget relies on student fees which do not fully cover our travel and equipment expenses, which means that every practice shirt, baseball, recruiting expense, hat, pair of cleats - or anything else that you may think of - is paid for by YOU! In the last four years we have sent out over 3,500 letters and raised around $265,000 in total! This fundraiser is vital to our success as a team and for our players as individuals! We cannot run this program without generous people like you! Again, on behalf of our coaching staff, thank you for your support! Hope to see you this spring!
