Bio

High School: Gabrielle “Slim” Lathers attended McKinley Senior High School, where she played basketball under Head Coach Ella Reado. Her Panthers’ team was the State Runner-Up in the 2021-2022 season. She was named to the 1st Team All-District in both her freshman and senior seasons and earned a spot on the 2nd Team All-District in her sophomore season.

Personal: Gabrielle’s hometown is from Baton Rouge, LA. She is the daughter of Gary Lathers and Barbara Bell. She has two sisters, Ke’Ariel and Diamond, and one brother, Byron.            Additionally, she has a two-year-old daughter named Journee. Gabrielle is majoring in Sonography at BRCC and aspires to become an ultrasound technician. Her favorite athlete is Seimone Augustus, and she supports the Minnesota Lynx as her favorite professional team. Her favorite food is pasta, and her favorite movie is “Matilda”. The person she admires most is her mother, whom she considers the strongest person she knows.
