The Lady Bears traveled up north to take on conference rival Southern Shreveport Lady Jags and escaped with a 64 to 63 buzzer beater victory.

BRCC outscored SUSLA 17 to 14 in the first quarter.  SUSLA turned the tables and outscored the Lady Bears 19 to 14 in the second quarter to take a 33 to 31 lead into halftime. The third and the fourth quarter was an even back and forth game between the two teams.  With 5.4 second left in the game, the Lady Bears were down by 1; 63-62.  Head Coach Paula Lee called a timeout to set up the final play of the game.  The ball was inbounded to Bailey Antoine who hit Desrael Schnyder for the game winner at the buzzer.

Britanae White led all Lady Bears with a game high 21 points. The Lady Bears had three student athletes in double figures.

With the victory the Lady Bears improve to 8-14, 3-3 in conference play, while Southern Shreveport Lady Jags fall to 9-12, 1-5 on the season.

The Lady Bears will continue their road trip this Wednesday February 12 as they travel to Eunice, La to face the LSUE Lady Bengals. Tip is set for 5:30 pm at the HPRE Center.
