Lady Bears Roll

Lady Bears Roll

After taking a 13 point lead (44-31) into halftime, the Lady Bears used a 20-4 run to start the second half and blow the game open. They never looked back. Mississippi Gulf Coast was not able to get back into the game. BRCC use constant pressure to keep the lead near 25 points for most of the night.

The 96-67 win is the third in a row for the Lady Bears and brings their overall record to 4-3. BRCC heads north this weekend to participate in the Bossier Parrish Classic. They play Bossier Parrish Community College on Friday evening; followed by a Saturday afternoon showdown vs Paris Junior College.

Ashley Williams led all scorers with 24 points, followed by Rosa Bryant who added 19. Kaylynn Walker and Kasiney Williams scored 10 points apiece. All ten Lady Bears who saw action contributed at least 4 points.

The Lady Bears are on the road for the next few weeks.  They do not suit up as the home team again until December 14th, when they host Coahoma Community College.  Be sure to check www.brccathletics.com for current information on the Lady Bears.
