Jacob McDonald begins his second season as an assistant coach on the Baton Rouge Community College Men’s Basketball staff .

A native of Maurice, Louisiana, McDonald came to BRCC after spending 5 seasons as the assistant coach at LSU-Eunice. The Bengals achieved an overall record of 84-33 and 39-6 in conference play. LSU-Eunice won 4 Louisiana Community College Athletic Conference titles and produced 4 LABC Players of the Year.

Prior to that, McDonald spent 5 season at St. Thomas More Catholic High School in Lafayette, Louisiana. He was tasked with assisting in practices, scouting reports and player development. The Cougars would win  4 district titles and the 2018 Division II State Championship.

In addition to his coaching career, McDonald received his degree in General Studies from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette with a concentration in Behavioral Sciences. He also played collegiately at Lee College in Baytown, Texas and the University of Texas at Tyler.
