Kialen Phillips named to All Region 23 Team

JACKSON --  NJCAA Region 23 announced its 2025 Men's and Women's All Region teams.  Winners were selected by a panel of the region's basketball coaches. Coaches were not allowed to vote for their own players. Jones College's Head Coach Newton Mealer was named Men's Region 23 Coach of the Year.

Bears Sophomore Guard Kialen Phillips was selected to the NJCAA All Region Team. Kialen played in 19 games for the Bears were he started 18. He scored 318 points with 119 rebounds, 26 assists 15 steals,  and 8 blocks. After missing the first half of the season, Kialen came out strong in the second half leading his Bears team to an LCCAC regular season chamionshiop and to the quarterfinal of the Region 23 tournament. Kia was a true leader on and off the court for the Bears this season.
