Men's Basketball: Eunice, LA

A hot shooting night from behind the arc helps the LSUE Bengals down the Baton Rouge Bears 83 to 66 this afternoon in the HPRE Center.

In the first five minutes, both teams were back and forth feeling the other out. In those five minutes, the game saw four lead changes and one tie. The game was tied at 8 a pieces with 15:57. The Bears struggled to find their offense while LSUE started getting hot from behind the arc. The Bengals biggest lead of the first half would be 12 with three minutes to play.  At the half, the Bengals had a 41 to 30 lead.

In the second half, the Bengals opened in a defensive press that forced the Bears into some turnovers and kept their offense out of sync. While the Bears were struggling the Bengals were raining three pointers. Young was aggressive on both the offensive and defensive ends of the floor. In the end the Bengals were too much for the Bears to handle as they would earn the 83 to 66 victory.

Jonathan Cisse led the Bengals with 20 points.
