Bears win big tonight over Houston Community College Eagles 96 to 59.  The Bears improve their season record to 6 and 8 on the year. BRCC trailed 9 to 6 with 16:48 left, in the first half, to the Eagles.  That was the last time the Bears trailed in the game. In the final 13 minutes of the first half, the Bears outscored the Eagles 29 to 14.  The halftime score was Bears 49 and Eagles 31. The first half featured solid defense and rebounding by the Bears.  Also, Terrance Dodson, Donald Williams Jr. and Makye Richard contributed with some big baskets to help the Bears extend their lead.  The second half was a repeat of the first half.  The Bears out rebounded the Eagles and took advantage of the Eagles turnovers.  BRCC outscored Houston in the second half 47 to 28. Coach Wilson was very pleased with the way his young team executed the game plan today. He wants his team to continue to execute, play hard, block out and do the little things. BRCC shot 57 % from the field, which included 8 three point shots.

Bears Highlights:

Terrance Dodson led all Bears with 32 points and 7 Rebounds

Donald Williams Jr. added 12 points and 3 Rebounds

Makye Richard had 14 points, 10 Rebounds, 5 Assist and 3 Steals

Michael Harden Jr. added 9 points and 8 assist.

BRCC Bears will be back in action this Thursday January 18 at William Carey JV in Hattiesburg,MS  Game time is 6:00 pm
