It took BRCC ten extra minutes, but they defeated Delgado Community College in a double, overtime thriller by the score 97-86
Baton Rouge led by five points at the half and looked like they may pull away after intermission. Sophomore guard, Denzel Austin, made four of his seven three-pointers early in the second half and BRCC led by nearly twenty points.
Delgado battled back, cutting the lead to twelve points with over eleven minutes to play. The Dolphins cut the lead to five points with just under six minutes to play.
BRCC had an opportunity to win the game in regulation, but Tory Ferguson's shot fell short and the two teams went to overtime tied at 77.
The second overtime finished the same way. BRCC had the last chance to score, but could not convert. The score was 83-83 heading into double overtime.
