BRCC long range shooting led them to victory this evening over Region 23 rival, East Mississippi Community College. The 79-73 victory improves Baton Rouge's record to 7-3 on the season. 

The game was a back and forth battle in the first half, but BRCC opened up a second half lead by hitting seven-three pointers in the first five minutes of the half. East Mississippi would not go away, they kept chipping away at the lead before BRCC was able to pull away for the six point win. 

The Bears are back at home on Saturday afternoon hosting Mississippi Delta Community College. The game is a part of a men's and women's doubleheader. Lady Bears tip off at 2:00 pm, followed by the men's game at 4:00 pm.

• Justin Bartie led BRCC in scoring with 22 points; he scored 18 points in the second half.
• Tory Ferguson hit three, three-pointers. He scored 14 points.
• Isaiah Boissard added 13 points; he nailed four from long range. 
• Kevin Rapp hit three from deep, scoring 9 points.
