Bears Win Two at Coca-Cola Classic

BRCC men's basketball is off to their best start under head coach, Ricky Wilson. After two wins this past week over Southwest Mississippi and Copiah-Lincoln, the Bears have improved to 5-0.

BRCC played Southwest Mississippi on the first night of the Classic. The Bears defense stifled Southwest, holding them to 38% shooting from the floor (28% from 3-point range). BRCC won the game 92-62.

The following day, Baton Rouge defeated Copiah-Lincoln 96-90. It was the third straight game BRCC scored over 90 points. 

Baton Rouge has the offense rolling to start the season. The team is averaging 90.2 points over the first five games, while holding their opponents to 72.2 points per game. 

Next up for Baton Rouge is a rematch with Bossier Parish Community College. BRCC defeated BPCC, 81-68, in the season opener on November 1. 

After Saturday's home game versus Bossier Parish, the Bears will hit the road for MGCCC Thanksgiving Classic. Baton Rouge will travel to Perkinston, MS to play two games. The first one against Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College, followed by a contest against Faulkner State.
