BRCC won their third straight game to start the season on Thursday night. The Bears outscored Mississippi Gulf Coast 94-85.
Baton Rouge took an eight point margin into halftime, leading the Bulldogs 47-39. MGCCC started the second half on a 17-6 run, BRCC found themselves trailing 56-53 with fifteen minutes to play.
The Bears did not panic and fought back in control. BRCC hot-shooting behind the arc was a big factor in the second half. Baton Rouge made six three-pointers.
Bear Notes:
- Josh Raoul led the game in scoring with 27 points.
- Denzel Austin made five three-pointers and finishing with 15 points.
- Isaiah Boissard notched ten points, making three three-pointers.
- Robert Lewis added 12 points in the win.
Next up for Baton Rouge Community College is the Coca-Cola Classic hosted by Southwest Mississippi Community College. The Bears will travel to McComb, MS to play November 14 & 15. BRCC will face Southwest Mississippi on Monday night, before facing Copiah-Lincoln on Tuesday.
