Baton Rouge led much of the night, but a late run by Southern University-Shreveport proved to be the difference. SUSLA hit two baseline threes in consecutive trips to grab the lead and never looked back. After the 73-67 loss, BRCC falls to 1-1 in conference play with a match against Delgado next Wednesday night.
Bear Notes:
- Jonathon Ross and Devante Marshall each scored 16 points to lead the Bears.
- Demetrius Fitzpatrick hit five three-pointers on his way to a fifteen point night.
- Karim El-Amin also reach double-figures with 11 points.
- BRCC lead 31-26 at the half, but SUSLA scored 49 points in the second half.
- The Bears shot 13 of 18 from the free throw line. SUSLA went 17 of 22.
