Baton Rouge was looking to avenge a loss in the season opener. Facing Northeast Mississippi Community College at home this time, Baton Rouge battled throughout the night forcing overtime before falling short 67-64.
Bear Notes:
- Demetrius Fitzpatrick scored 21 points to lead the Bears. He shot 4-8 from three-point range.
- Devante Marshall added 16 points and 8 rebounds.
- Karim El-Amin recorded a double-double, scoring 10 pooints and grabbing 10 defensive rebounds.
- Jonathon Ross contributed 8 points and 8 rebounds.
- BRCC turned the ball over 24 times.
- The Bears were outrebounded 51-48, giving up 14 offensive rebounds to NEMCC.
BRCC plays host to Mississippi Gulf Coast on Saturday afternoon. Game time is set for 4:00 pm.
