BRCC lost to SUSLA by a score of 68-54. Trailing by thirteen at the half, the Bears faced a double digit deficit most of the second half. In the final minutes BRCC tried to make a run, pulling within seven points; however, Southern Shreveport answered with a quick three pointer to extend the lead back to double digits and left to little time for the Bears to pull off the comeback. 

The Bears fall to 0-2 in conference play, leaving them a steep hill to climb if they hope to repeat as Miss-Lou Conference Champions. BRCC is 8-15 overall this season.

BRCC has until next Wednesday to turn things around when they travel to Delgado to face the Dolphins on February 12th.

Darryl Braggs led the team in scoring with 19; Joshua Ivory added 13; Denzel Flemings had 8 points; and Henry Pryor and Terry Blythe scored seven points each.
