The last seven days have not been kind to BRCC men's basketball. After beginning the season 3-1, the Bears have fell on hard times. Culminating on Tuesday night with a 75-65 loss to East Mississippi.  The #11 ranked Lions came into the Bonne Sante Wellness Center and handed the Bears their 4th straight loss.

The Bears trailed at the half by two points, 35-33; even leading by as many as six during the first twenty minutes.  However, they could not keep it up in the 2nd half.  During a four minute stretch, the Lions took a four point lead and extended it to fourteen.  This 12-2 run proved to be the difference in the ball game.  The Bears were never able to cut the lead to under five points the rest of the game.

Leading the Bears in scoring was Brian Sylvester with 18.  Two other players scored in double figures, Phillip Rankin (11) and Denzel Flemings (10).

The Bears will look to put an end to their current skid on Thursday night. They are back in action as they host Pearl River CC. The game time is set for 6:00 pm.
