All Region Baseball team Announced

The conference coaches came together before Saturday's game to vote on the All-Region Team. Four Bears landed on the Region team, Christopher Courville, Nathan Carriere, William Veillon and Lane Hutchinson.

Christopher Courville is a crafty lefty from Denham Springs. The sophomore appeared in 5 conference games as the starting pitcher. He was 4-1 in those appearance with a 5.88 ERA. He pitched 26 innings, in conference, allowing 18 runs, 34 hits, 5 homers and he struck out 13 conference batters. Overall, for the season Chris finished with 9 wins and 3 losses with a 4.34 ERA. Chris has committed to play at the University of New Orleans next season.

Nathan Carriere is a sophomore outfielder from Maringouin, Louisiana. Nate appeared in 18 conference games with a .439 batting average, 29 hits, 21 runs, 10 RBIs and 1 Homer. Nate stole 12 bases during conference. Overall, Nate appeared in 52 games with 178 AB, .354 batting average, 63 hits, 38 RBIs, 9 homers and 37 stolen bases. Nate has committed to play at Lamar University next season.

William Veillon is a sophomore outfielder from Rayne, Louisiana. Will appeared in 18 conference games with a .381 batting average and 24 hits, 26 runs, 20 RBIs and 4 homers. Overall, Will appeared in 49 games with a .347 batting average. He had 170 AB, 55 runs, 59 hits, 10 doubles,2 triples, 14 homers, 58 RBIs and 20 stolen bases. Will has committed to play at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette next season.

Our final All-Regin team member from the Bears is the utility player Lane Hutchinson. Lane is a freshman infielder from Watson, Louisiana. He appeared in 14 conference games with a .381 batting average. He had 42 AB with 9 runs, 16 hits, 3 homers and 3 stolen bases. Overall, Hutch appeared in 29 games with a .388 batting average, 85AB, 21 runs, 33 hits, 5 homers and 6 stolen bases.
