Baton Rouge Bears traveled to Alexandria to take on the LSUA Generals this afternoon. It was a back and forth affair that went into extra innings and came down to the last play. Unfortunately, for the Bears the Generals would walk off with the 10 to 9, 13 inning victory.
The Bears would get on the board first with one run in the first inning. Luis Marmolejos would double driving in the Bears first run of the ball game. LSUA would counter with a run of their own in the bottom of the frame to tie the game at 1. LSUA would tact on two more runs, in the second inning, to take a 3 to 1 lead. Baton Rouge would inch closer with another run in the third inning; 3-2. Luis Marmolejos would strike again with an RBI. The Bears would tie the game at 3 with an RBI single from William Dunn, in the fourth inning. The Generals would retake the lead with two runs in the fourth inning: 5 to 3. In the fifth inning, the Bears would strike again and score one run to close the gap to 5 to 4. Parker Autry would double up the middle scoring Cameron Guitreau, who reached on a single. In the bottom of the fifth, the Generals would tact on three more runs to extend their lead to 8 to 4. The Bears would score three runs in the seventh and one run in the eighth to tie the game at eight. The game was tied at the end of nine innings thus we went into extra innings. Both teams would score a run in the eleventh inning. In the thirteenth inning, the Generals would open the inning by reaching on a fielding error. B. Leslie would follow with a single up the middle driving in the game winning run for the Generals.
LSUA outhit BRCC 17 to 15. The Bears committed 3 errors compared to 2 by the Generals.
Christian Wood started the game on the mound for the Bears. Christian pitched two innings allowing, three runs on four hits. Jordy Adams, Joseph Saucier, Peter Holden and Hunter Dupuy all pitched in relief for the Bears. Former Bear's pitcher Jacob Jensen started the game for the LSUA Generals.

With the loss the Bears fall to 14-15 on the season.
The Bears will be back in action Wednesday March 11 as they travel to Ellisville, MS to take on Jones College in a doubleheader starting at 3 pm.
