Baton Rouge Community College will open NJCAA Region 23 Tournament play Tuesday March 6 against Northeast at 5:30 pm.

The regional tournament will be played at the A.E. Wood Coliseum on the Mississippi College campus in Clinton. Opening round games will be played on Tuesday.

The Bears and Tigers met up once this season on November 21, at the Mississippi Gulf Coast Thanksgiving Classic where Northeast came out with a 81 to 79 victory.

If Baton Rouge wins on Tuesday, they would face the winner of Mississippi Gulf Coast and Pearl River on Thursday March 8 at 3 pm. The Region 23 Championship game would be Friday at 7:30 pm.

The winner of the tournament earns a berth in the NJCAA Tournament March 19-25 in Hutchinson, Kansas.

Quarterfinal 1 : No. 8 Southwest vs No. 1 Northwest at 1 pm

Quarterfinal 2: No. 5 Copiah-Lincoln vs No. 4 Holmes at 3 pm

Quarterfinal 3: No. 6 Northeast vs No. 3 Baton Rouge at 5:30 pm

Quarterfinal 4: No. 7 Mississippi Gulf Coast vs. No. 2 Pearl River at 7:30 pm

Thursday

Semifinal 1: Game 1 winner vs Game 2 winner at 1 pm

Semifinal 2: Game 3 winner vs Game 4 winner at 3 pm

Friday

Championship: Semifinal 1 winner vs Semifinal 2 winner at 7:30 pm
