BRCC Lady Bears fall in their home opener, to Bossier Parish Lady Cavs 85 to 67, in the second game of the Lady Bears Classic. The young Lady Bears squad came out with a lot of energy to start the game but the BPCC Lady Cavs matched that energy with aggressive defense. After the first quarter, the Lady Bears trailed the Lady Cavs 19 to 12. BRCC had to deviate, from their game plan, in the first half, because their post players were in foul trouble. The Lady Bears used a smaller than usual line up, at times, but freshman mistakes was the difference, in the game . In the second quarter, the Lady Bears found a bit of a spark off the bench, with the hustle of, Tronayia Issac and the consistent play of sophomore guard Kayla Watson. But unforced turnovers and an aggressive Lady Cavs defense pushed BPCC to a 41 to 29 lead, at the half. In the third quarter, the Lady Bears struggled to get their offense going and again was beat on the offensive boards by Bossier. Bossier extended their lead to twenty, in the third quarter, and that was too much for this young Lady Bears team to recover from. The Lady Bears did fight till the final buzzer. BRCC outscored BPCC 24 to 20, in the fourth quarter. The final score tonight was Bossier Parish (1-0) 85 and BRCC Lady Bears (0-1) 67.

Tronayia Issac added 10 points, 4 rebounds and 1 block
Desrael Schnyder scored 7 points.
