The Lady Bears beat Delgado 68-48 this afternoon to bring their overall record to 14-5, 1-1 in Miss-Lou play. BRCC did not want to get off to an 0-2 start in conference, but a sluggish first half made it a possibility. The Lady Bears led 33-26 at the break, but their play did not sit well with Head Coach Paula Lee. 

After an energetic halftime discussion, BRCC managed to hold Delgado to 19 points in the second half. The stingy defensive effort abled the Lady Bears to get their first conference win.

Ashley Williams led the team in scoring with 23 points, she made six baskets from behind the arc to help defeat the Dolphins. Rosa Bryant joined Williams in double-figures with 18 points.

Next up for the Lady Bears will be a home match-up vs Southern-Shreveport on Wednesday, February 5th. The game is being sponsored by BRCC's SGA and the theme of the night is a Black Out, the first 1000 fans will be given black BRCC t-shirts.
