Title: Player Development Coach

Jailin Cherry is set to begin her first season (2023-2024) on staff as the Player Development  for the Baton Rouge Community College Women’s Basketball team.

Cherry  is best known in the Baton Rouge Community as a former 5 year Guard for the LSU’s Women’s Basketball team (2017-2022). During her last year at LSU, she assisted the Lady Tigers to a #6 ranking in the Country (2021-2022).

She maintained a 3.0 GPA while playing basketball, and graduated from LSU  while earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Interdisciplinary Studies.  After graduating, Jailin began her professional basketball career in Christchurch, New Zealand where she was an integral member of the Mainland Pouakai from 7/22 to 9/22.

Since returning from overseas, the Pascagoula High School (Pascagoula, MS) standout has made her home in Baton Rouge,La.  She started her own Basketball skills training business where she has developed players skill sets at every level. She has since become the Middle School Head Coach for Our Lady of Mercy Catholic School 8th grade D2  and the Assistant Coach for 6th grade D2 at the same school for the 2023-2024 season on a voluntary basis as well.
