Title: Assistant Women's Basketball Coach

Alanie Fisher enters her first year, as an assistant coach for the Baton Rouge Community College Lady Bears Basketball team. Coach Fisher’s playing career started at University High in Baton Rouge, where she was a member of back to back state championships in 2014 and 2015.  She was named MVP of the 2015 state championship game.  Other honors she received while playing at University High include being named District MVP, three time 1st team all-district member, two time All-Metro team member and was named to the All-district honorable mention team, as a freshman. After graduating from U-High, Alanie received a scholarship to continue her education and playing career at Coffeyville Community College. While at Coffeyville, she was an All-Jayhawk conference selection and was on the dean’s list for two years.  She graduated with an associate degree in science from Coffeyville Community College.  Her basketball career continued at the University of Central Arkansas where she played for two years and graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Health and Behavioral Science.

She is from Baton Rouge, Louisiana and is the daughter of Adina Davis and OJ Fisher.
