Women’s Basketball All LCCAC Conference Selection

Friday March 22, 2024: Women's Basketball

The LCCAC Conference coaches from Delgado, BRCC, LSUE and SUSLA have come together to select the 2024 Louisiana Community College Athletic Conference Awards. The Lady Bears had one student athlete selected for two awards.

J'Nyria Kelly, a Redshirt Freshman Forward from Plaquemine, Louisiana and St. John Plaquemine High School was selected to the All-Conference First Team.  J'Nyria came back from a season ending knee injury she sustained her senior year of high school to become a solid leader on and off the floor for the Lady Bears. She started all nine conference games for the Lady Bears. She scored 150 points with 139 rebounds, 7 assist, 9 steals and 8 blocks in those conference games. In the epic double overtime conference game victory over LSUE, Ms. Kelly scored 25 points and grabbed 28 rebounds.  She ended her freshman campaign with a total of 263 rebounds which is an all time single season record for the Lady Bears.
