Women's Basketball: Baton Rouge, LA

Baton Rouge Community College Women's Basketball Team announces the 2023-2024 schedule.  The Lady Bears will play 9 Region XXIII opponents, 7 non conference/non region opponents and 9 LCCAC conference games.

The Lady Bears will kick off the season, in the annual Lady Bear Classic, on Friday November 3, 2023 against the Northeast Mississippi Community College Lady Tigers. They will conclude the classic on Saturday November 4 against Mississippi Delta, which will be a rematch of the  2023 Region XXIII opening round game. In November the Lady Bears will play four home games, in the Bonne Sante Wellness Center, and four away games. In November the Lady Bears will play five Region XXIII opponents and two non region opponents. In December, the Lady Bears with play two home games (Dec 2 & Dec7) and two road games (Dec 9 &11). All games except one will be against Region XXIII opponents.  The ladies will take a short break for the Christmas holidays, before they return on January 8, 2024 with a road trip to Wesson, Mississippi to play the Copiah-Lincoln Lady Wolves. In January, the Lady Bears will travel to Little Rock, Arkansas to take on the Shorter College Lady Bulldogs (Jan. 13) and then to Bay Minnette, Alabama to play Coastal Alabama South Coyotes (Jan 27). Mix into the January schedule is home games versus Bishop State (Jan 18) and Coastal Alabama South (Jan 20). The Lady Bears will start their defense of their back to back LCCAC conference titles on January 31 as they travel to New Orleans to take on the Delgado Lady Dolphins. The ladies will face Southern Shreveport at home on (Feb.3), LSU Eunice on the road (Feb 7), Delgado (Feb10) and LSU Eunice (Feb 14) at home, then Southern Shreveport (Feb 17) and Delgado (Feb 21) on the road. The Lady Bears will wrap up conference play with a home game against Southern Shreveport (Feb 24) and a road trip to Eunice, Louisiana on February 28 to take on the LSU Eunice Lady Bengals.

Region XXII play will begin on March 9 with the opening round games at the higher seed. The second round of Region XXIII play will be March 11 again at the higher seed site. The final four of Region XXIII will take place at Mississippi College on March 14-15. The NJCAA National Tournament will be March 26- April 1 in Casper, WY
