Baton Rouge Lady Bears rallied, in the fourth quarter, to grab a 64 to 56 victory ,this afternoon, in the Bonne Sante Wellness Center over LCCAC conference opponent the Delgado Lady Dolphins.
Baton Rouge Lady Bears opened the game on a 11 to 1 run to take the early lead. But unforced turnovers, and some defensive lapses by the Lady Bears, helped the Lady Dolphins find their offensive grove over the next six minutes. In those six minutes, the Lady Dolphins went on a 8 to 4 run to close the quarter only trailing 15 to 9.
Both team found a bit of a rhythm in the second quarter, with each team scoring 18 points. At the half, the Lady Bears held a slim 33 to 27 lead over the Lady Dolphins.
The third quarter was again a back and forth affair between the two teams. With five minutes to go in the quarter the game was tied at 37. The game was again tied at 42 with 27.8 seconds left in the quarter. Two free throws by AH'Million Cosby would give the Lady Bears a 44 to 42 lead heading into the fourth quarter.
Delgado Lady Dolphins would tie the game at 44 early in the fourth. Since the tie the Lady Bears would go on a 13 to 5 run to open up their largest lead of the game at 8 points; 57 to 49. Baton Rouge would outscore Delgado 20 to 14, in the fourth quarter, to take a 64 to 56 conference victory.
Baton Rouge was led in scoring by Kayla Watson with 19 points, while Delgado was led by Jakwann Ross with 14 points.
With the win, the Lady Bears improve to 7-13, 1-1 in conference play. Delgado Lady Dolphins falls to 4-12, 0-2.

Kayla Watson led all Lady Bears with 19 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assist and 3 steals
Desrael Schnyder scored 16 points with 10 rebounds
Sydney Martin added 6 points.
The Lady Bears will be back in action Wednesday February 6, when they travel to Shreveport to take on conference opponent Southern Shreveport at 5:00 pm.
