After an evenly matched first half, BRCC used a twenty-two point third quarter to pull away from the pesky Wildcats of Louisiana College. Building a nine point advantage heading in to the fourth, the Lady Bears won the game 58-50.
Sophomore, Pearl Jones led all scorers with 22 points. She tallied ten points to spark BRCC in the third quarter. Jones dominated the glass from start to finish ending with 19 rebounds (five offensive).
Ayliah Cooper filled the stat sheet scoring eight points with five rebounds, three assists and two steals.
E'Layzha Bates finished the game with eight points and nine rebounds.
Rhomyia Tate scored eight points in the win, while Oterica Witherspoon contributed five rebounds, three assists and two steals.
Tonight's win improves BRCC's record to 3-9 with one game left before winter break. Baton Rouge travels to Hinds Community College on Thursday, December 15. Game time is set for 6:00 pm.
