BRCC Lady Bears lost to Jones County Junior College on Saturday afternoon 90-69. Baton Rouge led after the first quarter, but the Lady Bobcats press was too much for Lady Bears to handle. The loss drops BRCC's overall record to 2-9.
Bear Notes:
- Sophomore guard, Rhomyia Tate, led the Lady Bears in scoring with 21 points and 3 assists.
- Pearl Jones scored 19 points, fifteen in the second half; She also grabbed 8 rebounds.
- Ayliah Cooper contributed eleven points in the loss.
- E'Layzha Bates and Oterica Witherspoon scored nine and eight for the Lady Bears.
- BRCC was outrebounded 41 to 29. Lady Bears gave up 19 offensive rebounds.
- BRCC had 16 turnovers, while the Lady Bobcats committed 22 turnovers.
Finals week is amongst us at Baton Rouge Community College, but the Lady Bears will be at home for a 3:00 pm showdown against Louisiana College JV on Tuesday, December 13.
