BRCC celebrated sophomore night on Wednesday with a 97-44 victory over Southern University - Shreveport. The final home game put an exclamation point on the regular season; the Lady Bears finished with a 21-6 record, 7-2 in Miss-Lou Conference play.
Before the contest Coach Lee and her staff recognized four sophomores for their accomplishments: Rosa Bryant, Kaylynn Walker, Ashley Williams and Kasiney Williams.
Ashley Williams led the Lady Bears in scoring with 34 points; Rosa Bryant added 21; Amber Smith, 11; Kasiney Williams, 10; and Kaylynn Walker 8.
Up next for the Lady Bears will be the Region 23 tournament. The tournament begins on Wednesday, March 5th and is held at Mississippi College in Clinton, MS. The Lady Bears must wait until later in the week to find out where they will be seeded.
