Game Two:

It was a pitching duel for most of today's second game between the Baton Rouge Lady Bears and Coastal Alabama South Sun Chief, but the Lady Bears would scratch across just enough runs to earn the 3-1 victory.

Throughout the first three innings neither team could get their bats going and both teams' pitchers would keep the other squad off balanced at the plate.  The Lady Bears would finally breakthrough, in the fourth inning, with a run. Alara Taylor would lead off the inning with a single to left field, she would be moved over to second on a sac bunt by Kelsie B. Etheridge and would score when Jennifer Ipson would reach on an infield error.  The Lady Bears would add to their lead, in the seventh inning, when they would again take advantage of some defensive miscues by the Sun Chiefs.  Adelyn Fisher would walk to lead off the inning and steal second. Morgan Alleman would reach on an error which would score Fisher. Alara Taylor would single to left field scoring Alleman.  Coastal Alabama would finally get some traffic on the base paths, in the bottom of the seventh, but the Lady Bears would hold them to only one run thus sealing the 3-1 victory.

Kelsie B. Etheridge started on the mound for the Lady Bears and earned the complete game victory. KB allowed only 1 run on 6 hits while striking out one. Ashlynn Jenkins took the loss for Coastal Alabama South.  She pitched six and a third innings allowing 3 runs on 5 hits while striking out 7.
