The Baton Rouge Lady Bears found their offensive stroke in game two of the Bossier Parish tournament as they would defeat the Southern Arkansas University Tech Rockets 14 to 6 in five innings.
The Lady Bears would start the game with back to back to back singles scoring their first two runs of the game. They would add two more runs in the frame when Frashaylon Angelle would double driving in two runs. Courtney Ortego would reach on an error scoring Stubbs. Finally, Jodi Broussard would single up the middle driving in Ortego. The Lady Bears scored seven runs, in the first inning, to take a commanding 7-0 lead after one inning. SAU would score a run in the second inning. The Lady Bears would score two more runs, in the second inning. Frashaylon Angelle would reach on a error scoring Stubbs who doubled to left field. Courtney Ortego would triple to centerfield scoring Angelle for the Lady Bears second run of the inning. After two innings, the Lady Bears led 9 to 1. SAU would add three runs in the third but the Lady Bears would respond in the the bottom of the frame with four runs of their own. The highlight of the inning was a triple by Frashaylon Angelle scoring two runs. The Lady Bears would add an insurance run, in the fourth inning, when Sydnee Davis would double up the middle scoring Jodi Broussard, who had singled to left field. SAU continued to fight till the end, scoring two runs, in the fifth inning, but it was not enough as the Lady Bears would earn the 14 to 6 run rule victory.
Jodi Broussard earned the victory for the Lady Bears. Jodi pitched two and two-thirds innings in relief. She allowed two runs off of three hits. Saylor Young started on the mound for the Lady Bears. Saylor pitched two and two-thirds innings allowing four runs on six hits. Ciara Victor took the loss for the SAU Rockets. She pitched two and two-thirds innings allowing 13 runs on 11 hits.

With the victory the Lady Bears improve to 5-11 on the season.
The Lady Bears will conclude the tournament tomorrow, March 7 with a 10 am match up with SAU and a 12 pm match up with Bossier Parish.
