The Lady Bears struggled to contain the Co-Lin Lady Wolves this afternoon as they were swept, 11 to 6 and 3 to 0.

In game one, the Lady Bears started off hot scoring two runs to take an early lead. Kaitley Fisher opened the game with a single to centerfield. Sydnee Davis would follow with a single to left field while Brooke Romano would walk to load the bases for the Lady Bears.  Fisher would tag up and score on a sac fly by Courtney Ortego for the Lady Bears first run of the game.  Bailey Duhon would single to centerfield scoring Davis.  Co-Lin would score four runs, in the bottom of the frame, to take a 4 to 2 lead after one. In the bottom of the third, Co-Lin would extend their lead with a two-run homerun by M. Pool and a 2-run homerun by K. Hayman.  M. Brabham would hit a solo homerun to extend their lead to 11 to 2 after three innings.  In the fourth inning, the Lady Bears would get one run back when Bailey Duhon, who singled to centerfield would score on a ground out by Jacee Gainer.  The Lady Bears would continue to chip away scoring two more runs, in the fifth inning.  BRCC would add another run, in the sixth inning, when Krystal Stubbs, who singled, would score on double by Kaitley Fisher.  Unfortunately for the Lady Bears it was not enough to overcome the early lead built by the Lady Wolves.  Baton Rouge would drop game one 11 to 6 to Co-Lin.
