Wesson, MS

Unlike game one of the day with the Lady Wolves, the Baton Rouge Lady Bears' bats came alive early and often  against the Spoon River Lady Snappers.  BRCC exploded for twelve runs in the first inning to take a 12-0 lead that they would not relinquish.

In the first inning, the Lady Bears would take advantage of some Lady Snappers errors and some clutch hitting and base running to score 12 runs.

Baton Rouge would score another run in the second and four runs in the fourth inning to take a 17 to 1 lead over the Lady Snappers enroute to a run rule victory.

Spoon River Lady Snappers would score their only run of the game in the third innings. Baton Rouge outhit Spoon River 14 to 5. Spoon River committed 10 errors in the game.

Kelsey Cifreo pitched the Lady Bears to victory again. She pitched five innings allowing one run on five hits. April Hoover got the loss for Spoon River.  She allowed eleven runs on six hits.
