BRCC started slow when they couldnt muster any offense in the first three innings. Things changed in the 4th inning when Morgan Berry beat out an infield single. Alexis Groce slaps the ball on the ground moving Berry over to second. With a runner in scoring position, Virginia Cacioppo hit a long single to left, allowing Berry to score.

Again in the sixth, Cacioppo notched her second RBI of the game, when another single scored Groce.

Baton Rouge added another run in the seventh inning, but fell to Holmes Community College 7-3 in game one. 

The Lady Bears bounced back in game two, getting on the board early. Berry starting things off again reaching first with a hit. With the infield anticipating bunt, Groce had another single, slapping the ball right over the third baseman's head. With runners at second and third, Taylor Toledano singles to left field scoring Berry. Continuing the scoring, Megan Smith singles up the middle which allowed Groce to score. The Lady Bears started the game with a 2-0 lead over Holmes.

Smith led off the fourth inning with a single. The hot-bat of Courtney Edwards continued when she laced a double down the third baseline that scored Smith.

In the top of the fifth, Berry gets on base for the second time with a single through the infield. Groce lays down the perfect bunt to move Berry to second and put herself on first. With runners in scoring position the Lady Bears score another two runs when Cacioppo and Smith produce back to back singles.  BRCC now led 5-1.

Holmes tried to rally in the bottom half of the seventh inning, but tremendous defensive effort by Royell Cobb and Taylor Coulon squashed the rally. BRCC won game two, 6-4.
