Bears drop game two of the  Chick-fil-A Classic

Baton Rouge Bears hung tough with Region XIV opponent Lee College Runnin' Rebels, in the second day of the Chick-fil-A Baytown Classic. Unfortunately, the Bears could not contain the high powered Runnin' Rebels offense and fell to Lee College by the final score of 95 to 83.  Brenden Vessel closed the half with a 3 quarter court shot, at the buzzer, to trim the Runnin' rebels led to seven; 47 to 40. In the second half, Lee College outscored Baton Rouge 48 to 43 to take the 95 to 83 victory.  Keontae White led the Runnin' Rebels with 25 points.  

 

Bears Highlights:

Brenden Vessel led all Bears with 28 points

Prince Campbell had 18 points

Devin Carlin, DeAntray Hughes and Spencer Mays each scored 9 points

 

The Bears will be back in action this Friday November 8, when they face off with the Southwest Mississippi Community College Bears at 8 pm in the Bonne Sante Wellness Center.  This will be the home opener for the Bears and will be part of the first Annual BRCC Classic.
