Baton Route traveled to Shreveport this afternoon and was dealt a tough conference loss. BRCC was defeated 69 to 64 by Southern Shreveport Jaguars. The Bears held a 36 to 34 edge at the half. The Jags outscored the Bears by four in the second half,33 to 29. The story of the game was the inability of the Bears to convert their free throws. BRCC was only 5 for 11 from the line while Southern was 15 for 19 from the free throw line. Both teams shot 68% from the field.

The Bears will be back in action on Saturday February 24 in the Bonne Sante Wellness Center versus conference opponent Delgado Community College at 4 pm.
