Bears earn a blowout victory over Delgado

Wednesday February 14, 2018: Men's Basketball

Baton Rouge, LA

Bears pick up a key conference win this evening against Delgado 89 to 65.  The Bears used a very aggressive defense to keep Delgado out of rhythm all night long.  At the 15:08 mark in the first half, BRCC held only a one point lead over Delgado at 13 to 12, but that was the closest Delgado would get all night.  Baton Rouge would close out the half on a 33 to 23 run over Delgado to hold an 11 point lead heading into halftime 46 to 35. In the second half, BRCC  continued their great defensive play to force Delgado into some bad shots and timely turnovers.  Baton Rouge outscored Delgado in the second half 43 to 30 on route to a 24 point victory over the Dolphins.  Final Score was BRCC 89 and Delgado 65.

BRCC improves to a record of 10-10 and 2-1 in conference play and Delgado falls to 3-17 and 1-2 in conference play.
