The Tigers first half lead was due to their changing defense and their edge on the boards.  They out rebounded the bears 26 to 13.

In the second half, the Tigers tried to pull away and extend their lead but the Bears turned up the defensive pressure and forced northeast into 14 second half turnovers.  BRCC tied the game at 61 with 5:07 minutes left to go in the game on bucket by Keandre Randall.  Baton Rouge had their chances to take the led but a missed lay-up on a turnover and a couple of missed free throws gave the Tigers the momentum they needed to close out the bears.
