Baton Rouge Bears Basketball opened the SW Mississippi Coca-Cola Classic with a 93 to 70 lost to Chipola College. BRCC could not overcome the hot shooting performance by Chipola College.  Chipola shot 70 % from the field which included 22 for 29 from 2 points and 10 for 17 from the 3 point line.   Baton Rouge shot 45 % from the field, which included, 13 for 30 from 2 and 12 for 25 from the 3 point line.  The Bears out rebounded Chipola 23 to 21.  Chipola College improves to a record of 5-0 while Baton Rouge falls to 1-3 on the year.  BRCC will take on SW Mississippi CC at 7:15 pm tomorrow night in the final game of the SW Miss Coca-Cola basketball classic.

Makye Richard had 5 Assist, 6 Rebounds, 1 Block and 3 steals to go along with his team high 21 points

Michael Harden Jr. had 12 points, on 4 for 10 shooting from the field.

Jordan Ross scored 10 points
