Bears fall to Cavs

November 4, 2017 : Men's Basketball

The Bears (1-1) fall to the BPCC Cavaliers (2-0)  this afternoon 65 to 61. In a similiar way to Wednesday's game, the Bears had a chance to win the game but was unable this time to pull out a win. BRCC came out very sluggish in the first half and Bossier Parish took advantage.   The Cavaliers were 17 for 18 from the free throw line while grabbing  18 defensive rebounds.  The halftime score was Cavs 33 and Bears 23.  After halftime the Bears did come out with a bit more fight.  Javier Roper, who started off very slow in the first half, finished the game with 20 points and 8 rebounds.  Also, having a good game was Kae Williams with 11 points and 4 rebounds, which included being 5 for 6 from the free throw line. The bears were only 1 for 12 from the three point line and 20 for 25 from the free throw line. Poor Shooting and the lack of defensive rebounds led to the poor performance by the Bears.

The Bears will get back to practice on Monday as they prepare for Holmes Community College on Thursday November 9 at Holmes.
