BRCC defeated Southwest Mississippi Communnity College in their first game back from a three-week winter break. The 77-72 victory improves the Bears record to 11-4 on the season.
Shorthanded much of the game, due to freshman Robert Lewis being in foul trouble, Baton Rouge was able to stave off any comeback from Southwest. Southwest Mississippi cut the lead to four points, but could not inch closer.
Bear Notes:
- Isaiah Boissard led the Bears in scoring with 20 points, including sixteen in the first half.
- Justin Bartie scored 15 points in the win.
- Denzel Austin made four, three-pointers on his way to 14 points.
- Tory Ferguson also reached double-figures, adding eleven points.
BRCC hits the road for three straight games starting Monday, January 9th. The Bears travel to Holmes Community College for a doubleheader with the women.
