Baton Rouge Community College men's basketball will be back in Clinton, MS for the Region 23 tournament next week. BRCC qualified as the #8 seed for this year's tournament and will face #1 seed Pearl River Community College on Wednesday, March 4th at 6:00 pm.
The Bears finished the season with a 15-12 record, but earned a spot in this year's championship with a 10-8 record vs Region 23 competition. BRCC finished the season strong during the spring semester, winning eight of their last eleven games.
The top ranked Wildcats captured the MACJC State Championship last night and finished the season 23-3. These two teams met twice in the regular season, with Pearl River winning both games. The first one was a 94-87 overtime thriller in Baton Rouge on November 20th. BRCC later fell 68-64 at Pearl River on December 1st.
