Gerald Wray begins his first season as an assistant coach for the Bears Baseball team. Coach Wray will be responsible for working with the Bears pitching staff. Coach Wray brings a wealth of coaching knowledge to the program. He has been a pitching coach for several local high schools in the Baton Rouge region, over the years. Most recently he was the pitching coach for four years at Central Private High School.

Gerald Wary resides in Pride, Louisiana with his wife of 38 years, Kathy Forbes Wray. Coach Wray has two sons and two grandchildren.
