Back on May 5, 2019, the Athletic Department held their annual Student Recognition Awards banquet to honor the student athletes accomplishments on and off the field.  At that time, BRCC Bears baseball was still in the mist of their season and Coach LJ Dupy decided he would name his awards winners after the season was completed.  Coach Lj has announced this week his award winners for the following four awards, Offensive, Defensive, and Pitcher of the Year and Coaches Choice.

 

Offensive Player of the Year goes to freshman outfielder from Rayne, Louisiana; William Veillon. Will had a .324 Batting Average, 43 runs, 57 hits, 31 RBI's, a .477 Slugging %, a .423 On Base%, and 16 Stolen Bases on the year.

Defensive Player of the Year goes to sophomore outfielder from Prairieville, Louisiana; Cameron Crawford . Cameron had a 1.000 Fielding %, with 96 Put Outs, 4 Assists and 0 Errors on the year.

Pitcher of the Year goes to a sophomore  from Harvey, Louisiana; Brett Fisackerly. Brett pitched in 14 games, where he started in 11.  He pitched 2 complete games. He had a  4.43 ERA in  67 inning pitched with an opponent batting average of .258.

Coaches Choice Award goes to sophomore pitcher from Paradis, Louisiana;  Braxton Dufrene – Braxton was the most responsible teammate on the field and had a 3.3 GPA.
