Baton Rouge Community College's Cameron Crawford was named to the 2019 NJCAA Division I Baseball ABCA/Rawlings Gold Glove team, the organization announced Wednesday Night.  Crawford was part of a nine-member team, determined by the NJCAA Division I Baseball Committee.

Cameron becomes only the second Bears Baseball student athlete to earn this prestigious award. The first Bear's student athlete to earn this award was another outfielder, Blaine Posey in 2011.

Cameron Crawford (Prairieville, LA, Dutchtown High School) earns the gold glove recognition after a 1.000 fielding percentage, as an outfielder.  Cameron had 96 put outs with 4 assist and no errors on the year.  Someone could have overlooked Crawford's defensive play, as he went on a tear on offense, during his sophomore campaign. He batted .327 in 47 games. He tallied 55 hits, including 11 doubles, 6 triples and 4 homeruns.  He also had 20 stolen bases, on the year.  Crawford primarily played outfield for the Bears but did make a couple of appearances as an infielder.
