It was a rematch of game one of the tournament of champions with the Baton Rouge Bears squaring off against the Laredo Palominos. This time the Palominos used a big eighth inning to defeat the Bears by the final score of 8 to 5.
Laredo scored first with two runs, in the first, and one run, in the second, to take an early 3 to 0 lead. Baton Rouge would get on the board with a run in the fourth. Cameron Crawford would open the inning with a single to left field and he would eventually score on a wild pitch. The Bears would strike again for another run, in the fifth, to close the gap to 3 to 2. Kolby Blanchard would open the inning with a single to centerfield and would later score on a fielder's choice. Laredo would respond with a run of their own in the sixth to extend their lead to 4 to 2. Baton Rouge would fight back and score two runs, in the seventh, to tie the game at four. Bo Barrilleaux would open the inning with a triple to right field and would score on a pass ball. Matthew Eskew would walk and then steal second. He would get pulled for a pinch runner. Luke Lancon would run for Eskew and would score when Cody Crifasi would single to centerfield, tying the game at 4. Laredo would take control of the game when they would score three runs in the eighth and one run in the ninth to take an 8 to 4 lead. Baton Rouge could only mustard one run in the ninth thus losing by the final score of 8 to 5.
Baton Rouge outhit Laredo 6 to 4 but they would commit five errors in the ball game.
Royce Carrera got the victory for the Palominos. He pitched two innings, allowing one run on one hit, while striking out one. Garrison Beiriger got the loss for Baton Rouge. He pitched two innings allowing three runs on two hits, while striking out three but walking one. Tanner Young started the game for the Bears. Tanner pitched three innings, allowing three runs on two hits.

Donavon Murray went 1 for 5 with 1 RBI
Cameron Crawford went 1 for 5 with 1 run
Bo Barrilleaux went 2 for 3 with 1 run and 1 BB
Kolby Blanchard went 1 for 4 with 1 run and 1 BB
Cody Crifasi went 1 for 4 with 2 RBIs.
The Bears will conclude the Tournament of Champion with a 3 pm match up with the Navarro Bulldogs at Lamar University.
