Alvin Community College uses late comeback to beat the Bears

Bears would come out strong to take an early four to zero lead but the Dolphins would roar back in the final six innings scoring 17 runs to grab a 17 to 5 victory over the Bears. BRCC was out hit 19 to 10. The Bears also committed three timely errors in the game. 

The Bears would start the scoring off, in the second inning, when Tyler Caston singled, Samuel Jarrell doubled and Alex Courtier laid down a awesome  sac bunt to score Caston. The Bears would take an early 1-0 lead over the Dolphins, after two innings. BRCC would get on the board again, in the third, with three runs. The inning started with a Hunter David single, followed by a Jonah Overland hit by a pitch and David would score on a Cameron Crawford single to centerfield. Evan Vickers would sacrifice to score Overland .Finally Tyler Caston would single again to score Crawford. After three innings, BRCC led the Dolphins 4 to 0.

Alvin would begin their comeback in the fourth inning when they scored four runs to tie the game at 4. In the fourth, Alvin hit a three run homerun by J. Guiterrez and manufactured another run.  Alvin Dolphins would add a run in the fifth, two runs in the sixth and seventh and three runs in the eighth. They would break the game wide open in the ninth when the Bears allowed 5 Dolphins to cross the plate.

 BRCC would mustard one more run in the seventh inning when Garrett Barrilleaux singled, Lee Whittaker singled  and Garrett eventually scored on a pass ball. 

Jesse Ramirez for Alvin pitched  five innings giving up 4 runs on 6 hits and he struck out 6 Bears. Joseph Battaglia III pitched three and a third for the Bears allowing 4 runs on 6 hits and striking out 1.

Bears Highlights:

Garrett Barrilleaux went 2 for 5 with 1 run

Cameron Crawford went 1 for 3 with 1 run and 1RBI

Evan Vickers went 0-3 with 1 RBI

Tyler Caston went 2 for 3 with 1 run and 1 RBI 

Samuel Jarrell went 2 for 4 

The Bears will be in action later this evening when they take on St. Louis Archers
