In the first inning, BRCC's first four batters reached safely. Tyler Laporte started things off by reaching first base due to a Meridian error. A Seth Daugherty single would put runners on the corners.

Aidan Hodges would single to score Laporte and the Bears led 1-0.

A John Mauldin walk would load the bases. Followed by a Joseph Domingue two-RBI single would give the Bears a 3-0 lead. Mauldin would add another run when he scored by a sacrifice fly.

BRCC was not finished. With Domingue on second, Michael Smith would belt a home run over the center field fence to give the Bears a 6-0 first inning lead.

Domingue would finish 4 for 4 with four singles and four RBI. He would score two runs.

Daugherty also had a multi-hit game; he went 2 for 3, while scoring three runs.
