March weather has played a role in the BRCC baseball season. The last couple weeks of rain has had games moved and/or cancelled. The Bears had only played two games in that time until Tuesday night's doubleheader against Copiah-Lincoln.
BRCC and Co-Lin split the doubleheader with the Wolves winning game one 10-6 and Baton Rouge winning the night cap 8-3.
BRCC season record sits at 13-21. The Bears will be back in action on Friday when the team travels to Raymond, MS to play Hinds Community College for a doubleheader.
Bear Notes (Game 1):
- Kevin Vanasselberg- 2 for 3 with a single and double. He also scored two runs and walked twice.
- Aiden Hodges- 2 for 5 with two singles and he scored two runs.
- John Mauldin- Finished 3 for 5 with two RBI's. Mauldin it a solo home run, double and single.
- Tyler Laporte- 2 for 5. Laporte had two singles and scored a run.
Bear Notes (Game 2):
- Landyn Ragan pitched a complete game while earning the win. Ragan gave up six hits and two earned runs in the outing while striking out eight.
- Mauldin finished 1 for 3 with a 2-run home run.
- Devin Bailey went 2 for 3. Bailed had two singles and one RBI.
- Justin Acevedo went 2 for 3 with a double and a triple.
