Baton Rouge Community College led 16-15 heading to the top of the ninth inning. BRCC needed three more outs to secure their first win of this young season. The Ponies from Panola would not let that happen. Panola plated six runs in the top half of the ninth, including a grand slam (the second of the game). The Bears went quitely in the ninth, the final score ended 21-16 and Baton Rouge fell to 0-3 to start the season. 

Bear Notes:

• Panola had 20 hits; BRCC finished with 16.
• Coy Clostio hit a grand slam of his own in the 4th inning. Clostio also doubled in the game, finishing with 4 RBIs and scoring three runs.
• Aiden Hodges had 2 singles, a triple, a sacrifice fly and 3 RBIs.
• Layton Laird had two singles to go along with 2 RBIs.
• Tyler Laporte also contributed three-RBI singles.
• Catcher, Blake Buller hit a home run in the 5th inning. 
• Devin Bailey scored in the first after being Hit By Pitch; he would score again in the 5th inning after leading off with a double. 
• Kevin Vanasselberg had an RBI single.
